The clarification comes after concerns spread among players, many of whom questioned the game's long-term availability because it features a large collection of licensed music tracks.
According to Annapurna Interactive, there is no reason for concern. The company explained that the development team secured perpetual music licenses by paying additional licensing fees, ensuring the soundtrack remains legally available for the lifetime of the game.
With these permanent licenses in place, every song included in Mixtape will remain fully licensed without requiring future renewals. This approach differs from many other games that rely on time-limited music licenses, which can eventually lead to games being delisted or having licensed tracks removed.
